Welcome to the Emergency Information Site!  This site was created as a way for me to communicate with my class in case the school should close for sickness, snow, or other emergency.  As they say, "No news is good news," and for now the school is wide OPEN, so there is no news!  Hurray!

       Hi!  My name is Sandi Mathis and I am the 4th and 5th grade teacher at Rivergate Adventist Elementary.  I graduated with a B.S. degree from Walla Walla College where I majored in Physical Education and minored in Health.  Later, I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Portland State University. 
       My husband and I have three wonderful grown daughters.  Some of my interests are: being with family and friends, kayaking, camping, backpacking, photography, traveling, skiing, gardening, orchids, reading, and PEOPLE in general.  Jesus is my best friend and I am active in my church.
